Mirin Marinated Beef

When deciding on a meal that’s both easy and healthy, this Mirin marinated beef should be one of the first things you think of.

The great thing about Japanese cuisine is that there are a ton of quick and delicious recipes that are low on calories and take little time to make. This is one of those perfect recipes. Not only is it loaded with lean protein, it also clocks in at less than 300 calories per serving.

Now, one thing to watch out for with Japanese food is the sodium levels in certain sauces like soy and teriyaki. Thankfully, low sodium options are increasingly available in mainstream supermarkets. This recipe bypasses the need for soy by using Mirin, which is similar to vinegar and a perfect way to add some tartness to this dish.

How’s that for guilt free?
