Is He On Crack? 10 Infamous Rob Ford Quotes

rob-ford-quotes

Move over Drake, Toronto’s got a new icon.

By now you’ve probably heard the news about Toronto’s embattled mayor, Rob Ford, and his admission that he kinda, maybe smoked crack once. This comes just months after denying that a cell phone video of the incident even existed, even though reporters from Gawker and the Toronto Star had both witnessed it before it’s disappearance. Ford refuted the claims saying they were ridiculous. The 3 men in the only image released, were either arrested or killed. And one of Ford’s closest associates was arrested on seperate charges. Gawker’s “crackstarter” campaign failed to produce the video despite meeting its goal. And then silence. Until about a week ago when the Toronto Police Service confirmed they indeed had the video in question.

The truth would soon be revealed.

Fast forward to the present day, and his admission comes as almost no surprise. In fact, Torontonians have grown accustomed to Rob Ford making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

And in true Rob Ford style, he remains in office with no plans to resign.

It’s incredible when the head of the board of education steps down for plagiarism while a crack smoking mayor is allowed to continue running the most influential city in the country.

Toronto is a funny place indeed.

For that reason, we’ve decided to celebrate this massive miscarriage of justice with a best of list.

Below, we’ve collected some of the best quotes from Rob Ford’s last few years in office. Quotes so offensive and audacious you might wonder if he was on crack the entire time.

I went to Seoul, South Korea, I went to Taipei, Taiwan. I went to Tokyo, Japan. That’s why these people are so hard workers. I’m telling you, the Oriental people, they’re slowly taking over.”
